How to make a decorative well from tires with your own hands: recommendations of the pros

What is needed

Before proceeding with the assembly of a decorative well from tires, you need to prepare all the necessary tools:

1. Jigsaw. It is used in cases when it is impossible to do without cutting tires.
2. Car tires. The diameter of the tires does not matter, any old tires from car wheels will do.
3. Boards and beams. Lay out the roof of your structure from them.
4. Paint brushes and paints. Surely you will be repainting the tires, because ordinary black tires do not look very aesthetically pleasing.
5. Shovel.

If necessary, you can use other building materials, such as MDF panels, chipboard, tile adhesive or fasteners. To make an elementary structure, additional elements are not needed. But if you want to experiment, you can always try something out of the ordinary.

Assembly technique

Before you start making a well with your own hands, read the step-by-step instructions. We bring to your attention a simple scheme:

1. In the established place, a small depression (about 10 cm) is dug for the first tire, which will serve as the foundation for the entire structure.
2. In each tire, holes are punched (or cut) for supports, with the help of which they will be connected to each other.
3. The support bars are inserted into the first tire.
4. Subsequent tires are stacked on top of each other, creating a kind of tower. No need to make the structure too high - three pieces will be enough.
5. Above, if you wish, you can build a small "house" of wood, as in ordinary wells.

Done, now there is a small tire well on your site! It remains only to decorate it and adapt it for use.

Decor

Of course, you can't just leave the structure as it is. You should think about decor, because you don't need the usual black turret tires that sit in the middle of your lot. Now we will tell you what you can think of:

1. Dye. The easiest and most affordable way out. No need to rack your brains over decorative details. It is enough to choose an interesting color (or a combination of colors) and repaint the structure. You can even make an imitation for another material, for example, for brickwork. Then it will look like a round well made of bricks. Looks quite stylish. Enamel, acrylic or rubber paint is suitable, each of them retains its color and presentable appearance for a long time.
2. Roof. You can shift the focus to the roof by painting it beautifully or using any decor. For example, decorate the roof with a carved bird or build a small chimney to simulate a real house.
3. Other methods. Flowers will decorate any structure, and the well is no exception. A flower pot (pots) suspended on chains directly under the roof will look great. Suitable flowers are planted there (violets look great), and the whole structure is instantly transformed.

How to use the well

Please note that such a structure cannot be used for its intended purpose, because it is too small and flimsy for a real well. We will now look at the use cases:

1. For flowers. Yes, it might look like a flower pot on your property. To do this, you will need to fill it up to the top with earth and nutritious soil, and plant beautiful flowers. It is important to choose flowers that do not require special care, but have decorative properties.
2. For storing inventory. Such a well is not covered with earth, but is used as a mini-warehouse. Garden tools can be placed there so as not to bring them into the room. This is convenient for those who often work in the garden and do not want to constantly fiddle with garden tools.

In principle, none of this is necessary. You can just leave it as a small decorative well that will decorate the site.
