How did the variety come about

The apple tree Lager summer variety appeared as a result of crossing the Cinnamon striped and Welsey. Professor Sergei Ivanovich Isaev is called the author of this fruit culture. Selection work was carried out on the basis of the All-Russian Research Institute of Horticulture named after V.I. I. V. Michurin.

The winter lungwort, which is characterized by a late ripening period and high frost resistance, appeared due to crossing with the Renet Simirenko variety.

The Medunitsa variety has a second name - Medovitsa.
