Features of the cherry variety Vocation
Description
Cherry of the Vocation variety, which also has the names Rosinka or Samsonovka Melitopol Dessertnaya, was bred by specialists of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Irrigated Horticulture in the city of Melitopol. Its author is considered N.I. Turovtseva. 
This is an early middle variety cherry, which is a low tree, reaching a height of no more than two and a half meters. It has a dense and round crown.
Grafted young trees begin to yield crops three years after planting.
The fruits of the Vocation variety have a beautiful dark red color, are large enough, their shape is flat-round, and their weight can reach 5.6 grams. They have a delicious juicy center, the juice in the fruits is always red. The composition of the fruits contains dry matter in a proportion of 16, 48%, as well as acids - about 0, 96% and sugar - 10, 03%. Ripening time falls on the period from June 16 to 21. Inside the fruit, a bone that is easily separated from the oval-shaped pulp is found. The fruits have a rich sweet and sour taste and received a score of 4, 6 points during tasting.
Characteristics
Flowering occurs at the beginning of May. The variety is universal, every year from a tree that has already turned 10 years old, you can collect up to 28 kg of fruit. The variety is self-fertile, therefore it is pollinated with the help of others. It is distinguished by good winter hardiness, easily tolerates frosts and temperature changes, only flower buds can partially suffer. It has excellent immunity in order to resist dangerous infections - coccomycosis, moniliosis, hawthorn mite. With proper care every season, you can expect a rich harvest of fruits.
