How to make a fixture?

Juicy and sweet cherries are loved by everyone, without exception, both small and adults. After all, the fruits of the cherry tree are not only very tasty, but also very useful, since they contain many vitamins, macro- and microelements necessary for the human body. It is with the use of cherries that not only preserves, jams and compotes are made, but also delicious pies, cakes, cookies.

But before you start preparing delicious desserts, you should harvest the fruit trees. And just here certain difficulties may await gardeners - after all, the berries are on the branches high enough, for which you have to not only climb an uncomfortable ladder, push the branches apart with your hands, but also spend a long time under the scorching rays of the sun. Therefore, in order to make it easier for themselves the task of picking berries, the craftsmen came up with the idea of ​​making a simple device.
In order to make it yourself, you need to take a not too thin pipe - such that several cherries can slip through it at the same time. Also, the pipe should not be very heavy, since you will have to keep it suspended for a while. It is best to choose a tube made of aluminum or plastic. Then you need to cut it obliquely on one side, cut out a groove that will hold the stem of the berries when picking, and bend it inward so that you get a hook.

The easiest way is to heat the processed end of the tube over a fire and bend the "fingers" into hooks, but you can do this by resting them on something solid. The edge of the tube opposite to the grip is also heated in order to form a bell by placing it in a heated state on the bottle (as an option). This is done so that the tied package does not fall off during harvesting in the future.

Another invention is less popular, but also quite convenient. A simple PET bottle is used for its manufacture. It should be cut in half and only the bottom part should be taken. After that, a horseshoe-shaped part is cut out of a piece of wood, which should coincide in diameter with the diameter of the bottle. Then several holes should be drilled in the wood, where wooden sticks will be inserted - they can be made in advance or you can take them ready for eating. If you do not want to mess with sticks, then instead of them you can use large-sized nails, having previously chopped off the caps for them and then driven them into the tree. With the help of PVA glue, the sticks are attached to the horseshoe, after which they are wound to the outside of the bottle with a wire or a thin rope. The last step in creating a fruit collector will be a holder - a pipe of the required length, to which you need to securely attach a structure made from a bottle using adhesive tape.

How to use it

We have already figured out how to make a cherry picker at home. But what is the correct way to use such an invention? With the resulting crochet, stretching out your hand to the required distance, you simply pry on and pick off the berries, this can now be done even on the uppermost branches of the fruit tree.The principle of operation of the device made with your own hands is that the cherries roll down the tube, and then fall into the bag, which you securely fastened at the opposite end of it.

Using a product made from a PET bottle is also easy. With this tool, grab the cherry and pull it down. The berry breaks off the branch and falls into a prepared container. Having collected a sufficient number of cherries in this way, lower the structure and pour the resulting crop from the container into the dish you need. Thanks to the excellent inventions of folk craftsmen, there is no need to climb the wobbly stairs and spend on it in the heat for a long time. From now on, you can, in a short time, being near the cherry tree, make an efficient harvest with a minimum of effort.
